Toyota Motor Corporation and Honda Motor Company have become the first Japanese automakers to receive certificates from the government confirming the safety and quality of their vehicles powered by fuel cells.

・the 1000-hit mark ： 1000安打の到達点
《ワンポイント》only two other players ... も in less time も、非常に英語らしい表現ですね！ 日本語だと「３人目」と考えるところを、英語では「ほかに２人」と発想するわけです。

］《ワンポイント》「成績は中の上」――英語にしにくいですね。和英辞典にも出ていません。今回の表現はぜひ覚えておきたいと思います。ここ以外も、少年に関してはすべて過去形が使われていて、悲しい気持ちになりました。たとえば、the boy had plans to go on to the university. とか。
マグロの店頭ラベル表示、DNA鑑定で確認へ
The ministry official says DNA analysis is virtually an error-free way to identify different species of tuna.
